LinkedIn Outbound Agent: Best Practices
Overview
Once your agent is live, it runs automatically in the background. This guide covers how to monitor performance, refine targeting, and step in when it matters.
How It Works
- Runs autonomously
- Adds new leads every ~3 days
- Sends outreach within LinkedIn limits
- Notifies you when a lead responds
Dashboard: Key Metrics
Track performance across timeframes (weekly, monthly, yearly):
- Leads Added → New prospects sourced
- In Progress → Actively being engaged (profile views, likes, messages)
- Connections Sent / Accepted (invites that are accepted by the lead)
- Messages Sent → Total outreach (Invites, InMails, Follow-Ups, etc.)
- Positive Responses → Interested leads
Lead Pipeline
- Not Started → Early-stage outreach
- In Progress → Engagement underway
- Replied → The lead responded
- Completed → Sequence finished without reply
Reviewing Leads
For each you can lead:
- View LinkedIn profile
- Mark as Good Fit or Not a Fit
- Add to Blacklist to stop engagement
Agent Plan (What’s Happening)
By clicking into View for the respective lead in the dashboard, you can see exactly what the agent is doing via the Agent Plan:
- Profile views
- Post engagement
- Connection requests
- Follow-ups
Also shows what’s coming next in the future planned actions for the lead.
When Someone Responds
- Agent stops automatically
- You’re notified via email so you are queued in at the right time.
Filtering (Save Time)
Quickly filter for:
- Responded leads
- Specific stages
- Positive responses
This helps to focus on active opportunities.
Blacklisting
- Remove contacts or companies from outreach
- Stops current + future engagement
- You can blacklist via LinkedIn URL, Company Name, or Industry

- Exclude Connections → Avoid current network
- Enable Notifications → Alerts for positive replies
Optional: Auto-Respond to Interest
