Enabling SMTP Settings for Microsoft Accounts
For Microsoft Accounts Purchased Directly from Microsoft
Microsoft accounts are personal accounts created and managed by Microsoft. Follow these steps to enable SMTP settings for Microsoft 365/Outlook accounts purchased directly from Microsoft.
Steps:
- Log in to your Microsoft Admin Center.
- Go to Active Users.
- In the side window, click the Mail tab and select Manage email apps.
- Check the boxes for IMAP and Authenticated SMTP.
- Click Save changes.
- Wait for about an hour, then connect your account to Instantly.
For Microsoft Accounts Purchased Through GoDaddy
If your Microsoft 365/Outlook account was purchased via GoDaddy, follow these steps to enable SMTP settings.
Steps:
- Log in to your GoDaddy account.
- Navigate to My Products.
- Scroll down to the Email and Office section.
- Click Manage All and locate the user you wish to enable SMTP for.
- Select Manage, then go to Advanced Settings.
- Enable SMTP Authentication.
- Wait for about an hour, then connect your account to Instantly.
