Most day-to-day corporate work in FranFinance is setting up locations and getting the right people access to them.
How do I add a new franchisee location?
As a franchisor admin, you create the location record and assign it an owner, who is the franchisee admin for that unit. FranFinance then emails that owner an invitation to activate their account. From there, the owner connects their accounting and maps their accounts, and the location starts producing benchmarks.
How do invitations work, and what if one expires?
When you create a user, FranFinance sends an invitation link that stays active for seven days. If it expires before the person activates, you can resend the invite, which issues a fresh link and another seven days. The person can also use "Forgot password" on the sign-in page to get in without a new invite.
Can I invite corporate staff and outside advisors, not just location owners?
Yes. You can invite franchisor assistants for view-only corporate support, and business advisors who work with specific locations. Assistants see the whole franchise but cannot make changes. Advisors see only the locations assigned to them, which keeps outside coaches focused and their access appropriately limited.
How do I remove someone's access or pause a location?
You can deactivate a user so they can no longer sign in, and reactivate them later if needed. Locations can likewise be marked inactive when a unit closes or pauses, without deleting its history. This lets you manage access cleanly as your network changes.
A franchisee says they cannot see their data. How do I help?
Most often the cause is on setup: their accounting is not connected, or their accounts are not fully mapped. Confirm the location shows a connected accounting status, and have them complete their account mapping. If access itself is the issue, check that their account is active and that their invitation was accepted.
