Overview
This guide covers only LinkedIn-specific issues within your Outbound Agent. If you're looking for general dashboard, lead management, or automation controls, see LinkedIn Outbound Agent: Best Practices. If you're looking to change your search/targeting criteria, see LinkedIn Outbound Agent: Targeting Update Guide.
Each issue below is based on real support cases and includes the exact steps used to resolve them.
Issue 1: Received an email "Action Needed: Reconnect Your LinkedIn"
Log in to your account at app.getrevscale.com/login.
Click LinkedIn at the left side menu then look for the banner at the top right of your dashboard that says Connect LinkedIn
Click the banner and follow the prompt to re-enter your LinkedIn login credentials.
Once submitted, your connection status will update automatically
If you don't see the banner: Your account may already show as connected — see Issue 3 below, as this usually means the fix depends on completing another step first.
Issue 2: Received an email "Action Needed: Reconnect Your LinkedIn Sales Navigator"
This is a separate issue from Issue 1 — it specifically affects accounts using Sales Navigator, and the standard reconnect banner will not fix it.
Log in at app.getrevscale.com/login.
Click the LinkedIn icon at the left side of the menu and click preferences at the top right. This opens the Integrations tab.
Click Disconnect next to your LinkedIn account. (system will ask for you to type disconnect to ensure that it was not clicked accidentally)
Reconnect by entering your LinkedIn login credentials again.
Even if the LinkedIn icon already appears green (meaning it looks connected), you still need to manually disconnect and reconnect it. Sales Navigator access does not refresh automatically just because the base LinkedIn connection is active
Issue 3: Connected Accounts Shows "Disconnected" With No Way to Reconnect
Some users see their LinkedIn account listed as Disconnected under Connected Accounts, but there's no visible option to fix it.
Root cause: This status is often tied to an incomplete Outbound Agent onboarding. The reconnect option won't appear until onboarding (including ICP/lead training) has been fully completed. You may refer to LinkedIn Outbound Agent: Targeting Update Guide for a detailed walkthrough.
Go to your Outbound Agent onboarding flow and check whether any steps are incomplete — most commonly the ICP training step, where you review an initial batch of leads (Good Fit / Not a Fit)
If you hit an error (e.g., "something went wrong") when trying to refresh leads during training, this is usually a temporary backend issue — contact support so it can be cleared on our end.
Once onboarding is fully completed, return to Connected Accounts and the option to reconnect LinkedIn should now be available.
Reconnect following the steps in Issue 1.
If you're still stuck after completing onboarding, contact support with a screenshot of the Connected Accounts screen.
You Have Multiple LinkedIn Accounts and Aren't Sure Which One Needs Reconnecting
If your organization has more than one LinkedIn account connected to Revscale, a reconnect email may not make it obvious which account it's referring to.
Check the email address the reconnect notification was sent to — this identifies the specific account affected
Log in using that same email at app.getrevscale.com/login.
Follow the reconnect steps in Issue 1 (or Issue 2 if it's a Sales Navigator notice) for that specific account.
If you're still unsure, reach out to support and confirm the account email in question before making changes — this avoids accidentally disconnecting the wrong account.
Best Practices to Avoid Recurring LinkedIn Issues
Reconnect promptly when you receive a notification — delaying can pause outreach.
Complete onboarding fully (including ICP training) before troubleshooting a "Disconnected" status
Double-check which account a notification applies to if you manage more than one LinkedIn connection
Remember Sales Navigator requires its own disconnect/reconnect cycle — it will not refresh from a green connection indicator alone.
Review targeting periodically using Direct Edit rather than waiting for lead quality to drop.
Before running the automation, avoid heavily using your account (such as sending a large number of InMails), do not use any other automation tools simultaneously, and avoid logging into or staying logged in on multiple devices at the same time. Following these practices helps ensure the automation runs smoothly and reduces the risk of account restrictions.
