Overview
Your LinkedIn Outbound Agent runs automatically once it is live. It sources leads and moves them through connection requests and follow ups. There are times you will want it to stop, such as when you are away, when your team cannot keep up with replies, or when you are rethinking who you want to reach. Pausing stops agent activity while keeping your setup in place, so you can switch it back on without setting it up again.
From the Home page, click Outbound in the left navigation panel.
Select LinkedIn. Depending on your setup, this may open directly.
Go to Preferences, located in the top-right corner.
Look for the Outreach Status section, where you’ll see a toggle switch.
Switch the toggle OFF and press Save changes. The status updates to Disabled, which confirms your agent is paused.
To start outreach again, return to the same screen and switch the toggle back ON.
What happens while paused
New lead sourcing stops.
Leads already in a sequence: outreach stops right away.
When you resume: sequences continue where they stopped.
Replies you already received stay in your inbox and are not affected.
Common issues
The toggle will not switch off. Refresh the page and try again. If it still does not save, your LinkedIn account may be disconnected. See the article on LinkedIn Outbound Agent: Issues and How to Fix Them
I want to stop outreach to one person, not everyone. You do not need to pause the whole agent. Mark that lead as Not a Fit, or add them to your blacklist. See the article on LinkedIn Outbound Agent: Best practices.
